How About YSR's Statue In Naravaripalle? The Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s negative remarks against YSR’s statues have triggered a political storm, drawing flak from his opponents. While condemning his comments, the State Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy has said that they would install YSR’s statue right in the middle of Naravaripalle, the native village of Naidu. “If you have guts, come and stop us from erecting our leader’s statue in Naravaripalle and all across Kuppam constituency,” the Minister dared Naidu. The war of words over statues is intensifying after Naidu threatened to demolish YSR’s statues erected illegally across the state once the TDP came to power. “We also can install one lakh statues of our founder leader NTR,” the TDP president had claimed. However, his remarks evoked strong protests from the Congress and also YSR Congress Party leaders. “The talk of destroying YSR’s statues reflects Naidu’s growing frustration. He has now realized that he can never come back to power and therefor lost all his mental balance,” Raghuveera said.
