CM in Delhi... Andhrapradesh CM Kirankumar reddy now in Delhi. He wants to expand his cabinet since six month. But there are so many hurdles which are in his way obstructing the expansion of cabinet. Immediately after knowing the news of CM tour AP congress chief Mr: B.Satyanarayana also went to Delhi to rescue his post in cabinet. He made so many allegations against CM and also suggested Congress high command to remove him as CM., according to reliable sources. At the same time Chiranjeevi also stayed in Delhi to get at least three berths in cabinet. Just he need conformation of the names suggested by him. There is other issue came on screen.. that is Telangana quota in cabinet. Two Telangana ministers have submitted their resignations earlier in fever of Telangan separate state. To fill up the vacant berths in cabinet for Telangana some Telangana MLAs are expecting minister posts. There is a leakage from reliable sources that three cabinet ministers are going to be sent out with immediate effect. Mr: Shankar rao., DL. Raveendra reddy., and Kasu Krishnareddy are in expelled ministers. There are lot of expectations on expansion.The congress high command has to give green signal to CM for expansion as per his wish. With in a span of two days every thing will be cleared. But new headaches to CM will definitely start from next weak onwards. Any way it is inevitable that the cabinet has to be reshuffled.Let us see what is going to happen..?

Urban Indian youths bored of social media: Survey
రిప్లయితొలగించండిNew Delhi, Jan 19 : Youngsters in urban India are gradually moving away from social networking sites due to fatigue and health reasons, said a study conducted by a commerce chamber Thursday. The survey by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham said that the youths were spending less time on websites like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Orkut and Myspace as compared to the period when they had initially signed up. About 2,000 boys and girls in the 12-25 age group in urban centres of Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, among other cities, were interviewed from October to December 2011. "About 55 percent of all the respondents across these cities said they have consciously reduced the time spent on social media websites and are no longer as active and enthusiastic about their favourite social networks as when they had signed up," said the survey. "Nearly 30 percent of these said they have deactivated or deleted their accounts and profiles from these websites and it is no longer a craze among them," it added. Of nearly 200 people interviewed in Delhi, about 60 percent said their fascination with social networking has been fading of late. "The youth is now finding it boring to see constant and senseless status updates and the same routine over and over again has significantly reduced the time dedicated to the social media," said the survey. About 75 percent of the total sample said that while they had made an account on almost every website when it was launched, a majority of them were barely using these any more and were active on a single site. The survey further said that about 20 percent of the respondents preferred chat applications like Blackberry Messenger, Watsapp and Google Talk to stay in touch with friends. However, a section of the youths still flocked social networks more frequently. "About 500 of all the respondents said they had extended the time spent on social networking by over an hour. Of these, nearly 65 percent were females," said the survey.
Meanwhile, the respondents admitted that compulsive social networking was taking a toll on their mental and physical health and even their professional and personal lives. "Many complain of insomnia, depression, poor inter-personal relationships, lack of concentration and high level of anxiety as they tend to replace real-life social interactions with online social media," said the survey.
India grants scholarships to Sri Lankan students
రిప్లయితొలగించండి(Sri Lanka), Jan 19 : India will extend more scholarships to meritorious Sri Lankan students in high schools and universities in the island, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna announced Thursday. "The number of scholarships and self-finance slots for undergraduate, master's and post-doctoral courses will be enhanced to 270 from 113 from the new academic year," Krishna said at a public function in this port city, 116 km from capital Colombo. The scholarships will cost the Indian exchequer Rs.114 crore, which will be equivalent to Sri Lankan Rs.2.50 billion. The scholarships, which will have three-year duration, will cover fee, cost of books, lodging and boarding of the bright students. Scholarship support to deserving students at GCE (General Certificate Examination) A level and university degrees will also be extended to 500 from 400 annually. The scholarships symbolise the spirit of the India-Sri Lanka knowledge initiative unveiled by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the visit of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse to India in June 2010. The Indian government will also offer 50 scholarships annually in the name of Maulana Azad, a freedom fighter and prominent Muslim leader, for master's degree (post-graduate) in agriculture, science and engineering. "To share the benefits of India's successful growth story in IT with Sri Lanka, 25 Rajiv Gandhi scholarships will be granted to under-graduate students of engineering courses in IT in some top ranked institutes," said Krishna, evoking thunderous applause from the audience. Bright students will gain experience from world-class faculty and benefit from campus placements held by reputed IT firms for rewarding careers. The Indian government will also double scholarship scheme for Sri Lankans, rechristened the Nehru Memorial Scholarship Scheme, to 120 a year to enable students to pursue under-graduate courses in engineering, science, business, economics, commerce and humanities. Slots under the self-financing scheme have been doubled to 40 in medicine, dental science and pharmacy and engineering courses. "The expanded scholarship will benefit all segments of Sri Lankan society, including school students to university researchers and teachers." Krishna said.
Kiran Reddy inducts two ministers, drops one Hyderabad, Jan 19 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy Thursday carried out a minor reshuffle of his cabinet, inducting two legislators from the erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) and dropping a controversial minister. C. Ramachandraiah and G. Srinivasa Rao were sworn in as cabinet ministers by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at a brief ceremony at Raj Bhavan.The chief minister later recommended to the governor that Textile Minister Shankar Rao be dropped from the cabinet. A statement from the Chief Minister's Office said the governor has accepted the recommendation.The chief minister will look after the textile portfolio till alternate arrangements are made.Shankar Rao, who was made a minister in December 2010, has been openly criticising the chief minister and making allegations against his cabinet colleagues.The PRP, which merged with the ruling Congress last year, has finally found a place in the cabinet with the induction of its two legislators. The portfolios of the two ministers are likely to be announced later in the day.Besides the chief minister, Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Congress secretary K.B. Krishnamurthy, state Congress chief Botsa Satyanarayana, actor-turned-politician K. Chiranjeevi were among the ministers, MPs and officials who attended the swearing-in ceremony.Kiran Kumar Reddy wanted to go for a major reshuffle and full-fledged expansion but the central leadership decided to limit the exercise for the moment to the induction of the PRP legislators.Several Congress leaders, especially from the Telangana region, had been lobbying for the ministries for the last few days in New Delhi.Two ministers from Telangana had resigned last year to protest the delay in formation of separate Telangana state. Shankar Rao also hails from Telangana region. Krishnamurthy told reporters that the imbalance would be corrected soon. "We have a plan ready for this and we will implement it," he said. Kiran Kumar Reddy reportedly wanted to drop Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana in line with one-man-one-post principle and also a couple of others, but the leadership advised him not go for major reshuffle until the coming by-elections to 24 assembly seats and a decision on Telangana. The induction of two ministers has taken the strength of the Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet to 37. This is the second expansion since he became the chief minister in November 2010. Ramachandraiah, a member of the legislative council, comes from Kadapa district in Rayalaseema region. Srinivasa Rao hails from coastal Andhra. రిప్లయితొలగించండిGadkari flags off Telangana yatra Hyderabad, Jan 19 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday launched 'Telangana Poru Yatra' with party president Nitin Gadkari promising a separate Telangana state if the party is voted to power at the centre. Addressing a public meeting at Maktal in Mahabubnagar district to formally flag off state BJP chief Kishan Reddy's yatra, Gadkari assured the people that the party would strive for a bill in the coming session of parliament to carve out a separate state. Gadkari also promised that the BJP, if voted to power in the next elections, will utilise the water of Krishna river to make Telangana prosperous.He accused the Congress of betraying the people of Telangana. "The Congress has betrayed you after making an announcement to form a separate state. It is not interested in fulfilling the promise, though it is in power both at the centre and in the state," he said. Kishan Reddy has embarked on a 3,500-km yatra to exert pressure on the central government to table a bill in parliament during the budget session for a separate Telangana state. The BJP state chief will address public meetings in various Telangana districts during the 22-day yatra, ending in Hyderabad Feb 11. Several national leaders of the BJP and the chief ministers of Himachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will address the public meetings during the course of the yatra. Kishan Reddy blamed both the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for the delay in formation of a Telangana state. He said the people of the region would "bury" both the parties. Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convenor M. Kodandaram said the JAC would expose the Congress and the TDP for betraying the cause of Telangana. Former TDP leader N. Janardhana Reddy and Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president Manda Krishna Madiga also addressed the meeting.
రిప్లయితొలగించండిRebel Congress members refuse to meet Andhra speaker Hyderabad, Jan 18 : A group of 17 legislators loyal to YSR Congress Party have refused to appear before Andhra Pradesh assembly Speaker N. Manohar in response to his notices, and maintained that they should be disqualified. The speaker had summoned 16 rebel legislators of the ruling Congress and one of the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) to hear them personally on the disqualification petitions submitted by their respective parties. The speaker had issued notices to the legislators asking them to meet him individually between Jan 18 and Jan 22. However, the legislators held a meeting at YSR Congress Party office Wednesday and decided not to depose before the speaker. maintaining ghat there is no change in their stand that they should be disqualified. "We have already made our stand clear and there is no change in it. We want the speaker to disqualify all of us immediately to pave way for the by-elections," said P. Subhash Chandra Bose, who was accompanied by other legislators. The legislators had met the speaker on Dec 26 and explained the reasons for violating the party whip. The legislators had voted for the no-confidence motion moved by opposition Telugu Desam Party against the Congress government in the assembly on Dec 5, thus violating the whip. Under the law, legislators are required to abide by the whip of the party they belong to. Both the Congress and the PRP had later submitted petitions to the speaker, seeking the rebels' disqualification. "There is nothing new that we have to say. We have clearly mentioned as to why we have defied the Congress whip and voted in favour of the no-confidence motion," Bose said. He said the exercise of deposing before the speaker as and when summoned and explaining the same reasons serves no purpose. YSR Congress Party wants the speaker to disqualify all the legislators in one go so that by-elections to all the vacant seats are held simultaneously.
